EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL is the underground hit that is taking Las Vegas by storm. Endorsed by Bruce Campbell, hailed by critics, embraced by fans, and winning the hearts of unsuspecting tourists, this show combines campy humor, tongue-in-cheek song lyrics, and many gallons of blood to tell the story of 5 college students and their horrific weekend in a cabin in the woods.
It is the first production in the history of Las Vegas to move from the local community level to the Strip. Its cast and crew are made up entirely of persons living in Las Vegas, which is another first. This show is, by all measurements, the Las Vegas community’s Strip show.
Leading the cast are Ben Stobber as Ash and Lorie Palkow as Cheryl, both of whom have been involved with the production since its inception. Ben’s interpretation of the character has been hailed by fans and critics alike, and Lorie’s performance as Cheryl is over-the-top comedy gold.
The show is produced and directed by Sirc Michaels, who has over 2 decades of experience producing and directing the ROCKY HORROR SHOW in cities across the United States. He also serves as emcee at the show, welcoming fans into the experience with his own brand of ruthless showmanship.
Beyond its phenomenal performers, spot-on props, and undead horde, the show is possibly best known for its use of blood in the Splatter Zone, a VIP area right next to the stage. Lucky ticketholders to this exclusive area literally become a part of the show, interacting with performers as well as getting covered in approximately 20 gallons of fresh warm blood. Often when Splatter Zone fans leave the show, they are red from head to toe.
The production just celebrated it 1 year anniversary on the Strip, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Until the last fan is covered in blood, the gang at EVIL DEAD intend to keep on performing.
